It’s the second Monday of Wimbledon, and I’m watching as much as possible between personal training clients. Luckily one of my clients in London EC2 is a tennis fan and insists on having the TV on while we train.
It’s all 4th round matches today. Who will go through to the quarter finals?
Andy Murray
Still going strong, Andy Murray beat the 6 foot 11 inch Ivo Karlovic in 4 sets, with some sublime lobs over the head of the 36 year old giant. A line judge was hit in the head by one of Karlovic’s super-sonic serves, but survived to tell the tale.
Richard Gasquet
The Frenchman beat Nick Kyrgios of Australia in a strange match during which Kyrgios seemed to give up trying at some points, much to the audible annoyance of the crowd. Then the umpire had words with Kyrgios for taking too long to change his socks during the rest period. To cap it all, Kyrgios then hugged a ball-boy, much to the bemusement of the crowd.
Roger Federer
Up against Roberto Batista Agut of Spain, seeded 20.
Novak Djokovic
Kevin Anderson of South Africa took the first set off Djokovic in a dramatic tiebreak.
Dominic Londesborough is a personal trainer in London and keen tennis player.
